Role: Event Development and Coordination, American Express

Challenge: As a Project and Events Coordinator on the Digital Partnerships and Development team, I was tasked with promoting and celebrating a groundbreaking partnership between American Express and Uber. This collaboration marked an industry-first tech integration, allowing U.S. Card Members to earn or use Membership Rewards points seamlessly in-app for Uber rides—a significant milestone in digital innovation for both brands at the time.

Approach: Throw a big garage party befitting the brand partnership of Amex and Uber & invite lots of cool people! To highlight this innovative partnership, we organized a high-profile launch event in New York City. I managed creative agency relations with Paper, contributed to the creative concept, and oversaw the on-site execution. The event was designed to reflect the cutting-edge nature of the partnership, transforming three stories of Hudson Mercantile into an immersive experience.

Results/Impact: The event was a one-night spectacle featuring bars in car trunks, guided dance performances, a VIP rooftop experience, and a live performance by Chromeo. Hosted by Shamelss actress, Emmy Rossum, the event attracted NYC influencers and key stakeholders from Amex and Uber, creating a memorable celebration of this innovative partnership.
